Ermek Jumabekov is a Kazakh biologist born on February 5, 1945, in the Akysu-Ayuly area of the Shet district, Karaganda Region. He attained the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences in 1995 and became a professor in 1987. In 2003, he was elected as a corresponding member of the Academy of Engineering of the Republic of Kazakhstan, recognizing his contributions to biological science and education in the country.
