عطاف يوسف (1957-2019) was a Palestinian writer and journalist born in Ramallah. She completed her primary education at the Girls' School in Janiya and attended the Girls' Secondary School in Ramallah. She earned a diploma from the Teacher Training Institute in Ramallah and worked at her village school for two years. In 1979, she was arrested by Israeli forces and sentenced to twenty years but was released in a prisoner exchange after spending four and a half years. She passed away on December 7, 2019, in Ramallah.
