Maqan Zhübanıshuly Jumagulov (1924-), a Kazakh writer and member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan since 1963, completed his education at the Almaty Art College in 1946 after serving in World War II. He graduated from the Literature Institute in Moscow in 1959. Over his career, he taught, worked as a literary worker at 'Uchitel Kazakhstana', served as an editor at 'Zhazushy' publishing house, and held senior literary advisory roles at the All-Union Copyright Protection Agency in Kazakhstan.
