Құрманбай Алтайұлы Шойынбаев is a Kazakh singer born in 1952 in the Sairam District. He graduated from the Al-Farabi Cultural Institute and subsequently worked there in the music theory and vocal department. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades including being named the People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1992 and winning various music competitions. He is also an educator in music methodology and choral conducting. Since 2007, he has performed in the Kazakh folk instruments orchestra of the South Kazakhstan Regional Philharmonic.
