정종명, born on December 17, 1945, is a South Korean novelist. He was born in Bonghwa, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and graduated from the Department of Creative Writing at Seorabeol Arts College in 1971. He began his literary career after winning the Monthly Literature New Writer Award in 1978 for his work 'Dance of the Lion'. He has consistently produced works such as 'Giant', 'Reincarnation', and 'Hidden Love', and he currently serves as the 25th chairman of the Korean Writers' Association.
