Petar Vučić Simić (1927-2004) was a prominent Serbian orthopedic surgeon and professor. He graduated from the University of Belgrade in 1953, later becoming the first head of the neuroorthopedics department at the Clinic for Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology. He contributed significantly to spinal surgery and authored various medical publications, including noteworthy monographs. Simić was also recognized posthumously with the Nagrada grada Beograda in 2008 for his collaborative work on the history of surgery.
