Dušan (Duško) Brkić was a Croatian lawyer and communist politician, born on April 6, 1913, in Obrovac and died on July 28, 2000, in Belgrade. He served as a political commissioner for the 6th Slavonian Corps of NOVJ and held a high state leadership position in the People's Republic of Croatia. After retiring in the 1950s, he engaged in visual arts. In 1950, he was removed from his role as Deputy Prime Minister for criticizing government actions against farmers and was subsequently sent to the Goli Otok political camp.
