Ivan Ostrovský is a Slovak chemist and an academic. Since 1979, he has been active at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Comenius University in Bratislava, where he serves as the director of the Chemical Institute. He held the position of prorector for development from 1997 to 2006 and has been a member of the General Assembly of the Academic Ranking and Rating Agency (ARRA) since then. In February 2011, he resumed the role of prorector for development.
