M A M Shukri (born June 24, 1940) is a prominent Sri Lankan Muslim scholar known for his significant contributions to the fields of education, culture, and social history among Sri Lankan Muslims. A native of Matara in the Southern Province, he initially engaged in poetry and short stories before focusing on religious literature. He earned his PhD in Sufism from the University of Edinburgh and currently serves as an administrator at the Jamiah Naleemiah Islamic University. His works are considered noteworthy in the study of Sri Lankan Muslims.
