Vardges Hakobi Babayan was an Armenian poet, translator, and journalist born on May 15, 1925, in Ayaslu, Armenian SSR, USSR. He became a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR in 1957 and was a member of the Communist Party since 1950. Babayan passed away on May 23, 2005. His works contributed significantly to Armenian literature and culture.
