Vasily Stepanovich Tereshchenko (April 15, 1920 – May 7, 1986) was a Soviet military officer and participant in the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on April 10, 1945. At the time of his heroic act, he served as a platoon commander in the 127th Tank Regiment of the 49th Mechanized Brigade, within the 6th Guards Mechanized Corps, part of the 4th Tank Army on the 1st Ukrainian Front, holding the rank of junior lieutenant.
