Seyyed Mohammad Ali Mahdavi Amiri (Seyrus Mahdavi) is an Iranian writer and researcher born in March 1951 in Amol, Mazandaran. After the Iranian Revolution, he formed a group at his home to study encyclopedias and compiled the first comprehensive biographical lexicon of Persian literature. His work took seven years and resulted in significant publications, earning accolades as the best book in 1370. He established the Cultural Research Publishing and currently serves as the editor of the scientific journal Abakhtar. Mahdavi has also authored analytical works on the historical figures of the Bayhaqi era.
