M. Shivaraman was a prominent journalist who worked for the international news agency Reuters. He served as the chief correspondent in Southeast Asia and had extensive knowledge about the region. He authored the book 'Vietnam War Way' in 1965 and reported on significant events during World War II in Southeast Asia. He became the foreign editor of the Press Trust of India- Reuters alliance from 1947-52, covering stories from Beijing to Cairo. He was born on November 14, 1907, and died on November 20, 1972.
