Eom Gi-won (born January 10, 1937) is a South Korean children's literature author. Known by his pen name Namcheon, he was born in Gangneung, Gangwon Province. He majored in Korean language education at Dongguk University. He debuted in 1963 by winning a poetry competition. He has received multiple awards, including the Korean Literature Award and the Bang Jeong-hwan Literature Award. Furthermore, he established the Korean Children's Literature Research Institute in 1982 and continues to contribute to the field, serving on various literary committees.
