Go Jae-jong is a South Korean poet born on May 30, 1959, in Damyang-gun, South Jeolla Province. He graduated from Damyang Agricultural High School and debuted in 1984 with his poem 'Twelve Family Members Outside Dong-gu' in 'Shilcheong Munhak'. He has won several awards, including the 11th Shin Dong-yeop Creative Fund in 1993 and the 16th Sowol Poetry Literature Prize in 2002. As of 2009, he serves as the president of the Gwangju Jeonnam Writers' Association.
