Gideon 'Gidi' Shohat (December 26, 1912 – December 19, 1966) was a pilot in the British Royal Air Force and a Colonel in the IDF. He was one of the founders of the Israeli Air Force, serving as a transport pilot. Additionally, he held the position of Israeli ambassador in various African countries. Gideon was the son of Israel and Mania Shohat and the father of Alona Einstein, who was married to the singer Arik Einstein.
