Avetis Albert Ohanyan (May 9, 1963 – May 26, 1993) was a freedom fighter and commander involved in the self-defense and liberation battles in the regions of Meghri and Martakert during 1989-1993. He served in the Soviet Armed Forces from 1980 to 1982 and was the commander of the Meghri volunteer detachment. Ohanyan was posthumously awarded the 2nd class Order of the Combat Cross of Artsakh and is buried in Agarak village of the Meghri region.
