Mkrtich Hambardzoumi Hambardzumyan (April 12, 1907 - December 30, 1991) was an Armenian biologist, born in Bayazet, Ottoman Empire. He earned a doctorate in biological sciences in 1968 and was a participant in the Great Patriotic War of the USSR during World War II. His contributions to biology and his service in the war mark significant points in his life and career.
