Pavel Arshaki Sargsyan, nicknamed Azo, was an Armenian freedom fighter born on December 24, 1958, in Talish, Martakert region. He served in the Soviet Army and later worked as a public transport driver in Armenia. Participating in the Artsakh liberation movement, Sargsyan formed a volunteer unit and fought in key battles including Manashid and Tartar Valley. He died heroically on May 4, 1992, at Shirakhana height, sacrificing himself to enable his teammates' advancement. He is buried in the village’s memorial site.
