He became an academician of the Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences in 1997. He graduated from the Kazakh Agricultural Institute in 1962 and worked in various academic roles until 1995. Since then, he has been a professor at T. Ryskulov Kazakh Economic University. He has published over 120 scientific works and oversaw the preparation of 21 candidates of sciences and 4 doctors of sciences. In 1989, he lectured on agricultural economics at the University of Madrid, Spain.
