Fedor Yakovlevich Seredin was a Soviet Army Major and battalion commander during World War II. Born on February 15, 1918, in Boroduliha, East Kazakhstan, he graduated from a military school in Tashkent in 1937. He participated in the Winter War against Finland and served as an instructor before taking part in the Great Patriotic War in February 1943. He made significant contributions during battles including crossing the Dnieper River. Seredin was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for his bravery.
