Gulbanu Seilbekkyzy Kosymova, born on November 7, 1954, in the Aktyubinsk region, is a linguist and a Doctor of Philology since 2005. She completed her education at the Kazakh A. Baytursynov Pedagogical Institute in 1977 and achieved the academic title of professor in 2007. Her research areas include Kazakh language history, historical lexicology, grammar, and rhetoric. She has published over 200 scientific articles and approximately 30 books. She is also a correspondent member of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 2011.
