Turganbay Nurlanuly Doszhanov (born May 15, 1928, in Zhambyl Region, Zhambyl District; died August 16, 2019, in Almaty) was a prominent Kazakh biologist. He earned his Doctorate in Biological Sciences in 1984 and became a professor in 1993. Doszhanov graduated from the Zhenishev Kazakh Agricultural Institute in 1951 and held various academic positions including Deputy Director of Scientific Work at the Institute of Zoology and Chief Researcher from 1995. He was named an Academician of the Kazakhstan National Academy of Sciences in 2003.
