Alexander Afanasevich Fedyanin (born February 25, 1947 in Karaganda) is a Russian-Kazakh singer and trombonist. He graduated from the Kurmangazy State Conservatory, specializing in orchestral performance and pedagogy. He has composed various musical works including 'Kazakh Bazaar', 'Variation on a Kazakh Theme', and 'Sentimental Waltz'. He is fluent in Russian, Kazakh, and German, and has been the chief trombonist of the State Symphony Orchestra since 1969. Since 1994, he has been a professor at the Kurmangazy Conservatory, leading the 'Almaty Trombones' quartet.
