Pyotr Rodionovich Saenko (1913-1979) was a Soviet military leader and Major General. He served from 1933 to 1969 and was a participant in the Khalkhin Gol conflict in 1939. During World War II, he became a commander noted for his courageous leadership, particularly during the Kaunas offensive in August 1944, where he managed to organize a defensive stance against enemy forces. For his bravery and successful execution of military tasks, he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union in 1945.
