Mariana Davidivna Kopytsia, born on April 15, 1947, is a Ukrainian musicologist and professor at the National Music Academy of Ukraine. She earned her PhD in 2009 and is noted for her contributions to the study of Ukrainian music, particularly the works of B. Liatoshinskiy. Kopytsia has been teaching since 1975 and has held various positions, including member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine since 1978. She also organized national music competitions and festivals. Her research focuses on musicology, cultural studies, and the methodology of music history.
