He graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1925 and subsequently worked at various scientific institutions in Kyiv. In 1959, he headed a department at the Kyiv Institute of National Economy. Savinov authored over 100 published works in the fields of crystallization in the sugar industry, food chemistry, and carotenoids.
