Øssur Dam Jacobsen (born July 8, 1940, in Vestmanna) is a former Faroese teacher and politician (Ff.). He is the son of skipper Hjalmar J. Jacobsen. He worked as a teacher from 1964 to 1985 in Vestmanna and later at Eysturskúlin in Tórshavn, focusing on students with dyslexia and reading difficulties. He served in the Lagtinget from Norðurstreymoy from 1978 to 1984 and was chairman of Listasavn Føroya from 1989 to 1996.
