Seiichi Miyazaki (1912-1996) was a Japanese oil painter born in Kumamoto Prefecture. He studied at Japan Art School and became a pupil of Yoshinosuke Ebihara in 1945. Known for his strong colors and sharp forms in abstract painting, he was influential in the Kumamoto art scene, contributing to the Kumamoto Art Association and the Hitoyoshi Kumamoto General Art Exhibition. He was a member of the Independent Art Association and received the Kumamoto Newspaper Prize in 1984, followed by recognition as a Modern Cultural Contributor in 1988. His works are held in Kumamoto Prefectural Museum of Art.
