Єфрем Васильович Четенов (1910-1986) was an environmentalist from Mariupol, Ukraine. He worked at the Mariupol Museum and played a key role in establishing several nature reserves in the Donbas region. A member of the nature protection movement since the 1920s, he became a leader of a youth environmental group and later served as deputy head of two reserves. After WWII, he campaigned to protect the Kamyani Mohyly site, ultimately achieving its status as a reserve in 1948. He directed the Khomutov Steppe Reserve from 1949 to 1952 and was instrumental in preserving the Bilosarai Kosa, declared a nature reserve in 1980.
