Boris Alekseyevich Chazov (September 14, 1920 – October 16, 2005) was a Soviet and Russian geographer and Doctor of Geographical Sciences. He served as the last dean of the Geology and Geography Faculty from 1949 to 1955 and then as the first dean of the Geography Faculty from 1955 to 1960. Chazov was a professor and head of the Department of Physical Geography from 1960 to 1992, and also held the position of Vice-Rector for Research at Perm University in 1970. He was a recognized educator and a founding figure in the field of landscape studies at the university.
