Ștefan Dorobanțu (1920-2005) was a Romanian physician specializing in Traumatology and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was the first Romanian doctor to achieve the title of 'medic primar de chirurgie plastică și reparatorie' in 1959. He invented the 'Electrodermatom' for skin grafts and contributed significantly to various surgical fields over his 45-year career. He worked at eminent hospitals in Romania before emigrating to Germany, where he continued his practice until retirement. His innovative surgical techniques and contributions to medical tools were highly regarded.
