Valentin Pavlovich Petrov (October 5, 1924 – March 17, 2018) was a Major General of Medical Service in Russia. He served as a lecturer at the S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy from 1955 to 1976, and was the chief surgeon at the 3rd Central Military Clinical Hospital named after A.A. Vishnevsky. Petrov was a professor and an honored scientist of the Russian Federation. He was also a member of specialized councils at several institutes and served as deputy chairman of the surgical society of Moscow and the Moscow region.
