He writes in Hindi and Nagpuri and edits the quarterly magazine 'Rangavarta' and the monthly magazine 'Johar Sahiya'. Pankaj is also the publisher-editor of the bilingual tribal-local newspaper 'Johar Disum Khabar'. He is noted for his work in theater, film, and literature focusing on tribal life, society, language-culture, history, and the environment.
