Avi Ronis (February 12, 1951 - October 6, 1973) was a commander of Company W in the 74th Battalion during the battles of the Yom Kippur War. He was born in Ra'anana and raised in Kiryat Motzkin, later active in the Young Guard movement. After serving in the armored corps, he was promoted to command Company W, where he displayed remarkable leadership during the fighting, ultimately dying in action while coordinating defense against advancing Syrian tanks.
