Йосип Васильович Кремінь, born on January 13, 1932, in Buyaiv, is a General Khorev of the Black Sea Cossacks and a former dissident. He faced severe repression, including a 25-year sentence by a military tribunal in December 1950 and endured 10 years in the GULAG, with time spent in solitary confinement. Released in 1961, he was politically rehabilitated in April 1991 due to his status as a victim of communist repression. In 2008, he published a book titled ‘For Ukraine, For Its Freedom’ and produced many flyers about the Holodomor and imprisonment camps.
