Arsenii (Arsen) Martynovych Makara (January 31, 1916 – April 17, 1975) was a Ukrainian scientist known for his work in welding technology and metallurgy. He was a corresponding member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, a doctor of technical sciences, and a professor. Makara laid the foundations for the technology of welding metals by melting, contributing significantly to the field of metallurgy in Ukraine.
