Petr Semenovich Makhota (December 15, 1920 – May 21, 1997) was a prominent figure in the production sector, serving as a steelmaker at the Dnipropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant named after Petrovsky in the Ukrainian SSR. He was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor in 1958 and served as a deputy in the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR during its 5th and 6th convocations from 1959 to 1967. He was also a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine from 1959 to 1966.
