Hassan Hekmatnejad was born on April 12, 1930, in a religious and artistic family in Isfahan. His father was a famous carpet weaver, and Hekmatnejad began learning carpet weaving at the age of six. After his father's untimely death, he dedicated himself to reviving the family carpet business while managing debts. He took a break from weaving in his middle age but resumed following the Iranian revolution, producing innovative carpets. Despite a heart attack in 1988, he continued his artistic work by training young weavers, leaving a lasting impact on the carpet industry.
