Rafael Samveli Mamigonian (March 20, 1927 – Tbilisi, Georgian SSR, USSR) was an Armenian Soviet therapist and a prominent figure in medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medical Sciences degree in 1967 and became a professor in 1969. Mamigonian is recognized as one of the founders of nephrology in the Armenian SSR. His contributions to the field of medicine and his role as a distinguished scientist in Armenia solidified his legacy in healthcare.
