Levon Arshaluysi Matinyan was an Armenian-Soviet neurophysiologist born on September 11, 1923, in Tbilisi, Georgian SSR, USSR. He earned a Doctor of Biological Sciences degree in 1970 and became a professor in 1986. Matinyan made significant contributions in his field and was recognized as a distinguished figure of sciences in the Armenian SSR in 1984 for his work.
