Karren Hovhannes Karahyan (born January 13, 1933) is an Armenian Soviet builder and constructor. He earned his Doctor of Technical Sciences in 1980 and became a professor in 1987. A member of the Communist Party since 1962, he graduated from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute in 1955. Since 1966, he has headed the Building Physics Department at the State Institute of Construction and Architecture of the Armenian SSR, focusing on the stress-deformation and thermal-moisture properties of building structures.
