Andranik Shahinyan (1906-1967) was a Soviet Armenian politician and a candidate in historical sciences. He graduated from the Plekhanov Institute in Moscow and worked in various political roles, including as a responsible secretary for 'People's Education' magazine. He held several significant positions within the Armenian SSR's cultural and political institutions, including Minister of Cinematography. Shahinyan was actively involved in the Communist Party from a young age and dedicated his life to cultural development in Armenia.
