Donara Tachatian Aleksanyan, born on September 28, 1929, in Batumi, Georgian SSR, USSR, was a ballet artist and honored artist of the Armenian SSR (1967). She was the daughter of Tachat Aleksanyan, a prominent figure in Armenian science, and the sister of Vilen Aleksanyan, a doctor of chemical sciences and professor.
