Having graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in 1976, he specializes in portrait painting. His work primarily features group portraits of Georgian aristocrats, series of portraits of Georgian kings, religious themes, historical depictions of Georgia, and characters from Greek mythology.
