He published significant works such as 'Zoogeography' (1974) and the 'Zoogeographical Map' (1964), both pivotal in the field's establishment in the Georgian language. Janashvili graduated from Tbilisi State University (1927) and served as head of various zoology departments, contributing extensively to the study of Georgia's mammals, reptiles, and amphibians, while also advancing Georgian zoological terminology and writing children's stories.
