Georgy Petrovich Butikov (April 21, 1925 – March 25, 2002) was a Soviet and Russian scholar, holding a doctorate in cultural studies. He served as the General Director of the State Museum-Monument 'Saint Isaac's Cathedral' from 1968 until his death. Butikov was an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts and participated actively in cultural associations, including serving as president of the Association of Museums in Russia. He was also recognized as a Distinguished Cultural Worker of the RSFSR in 1980.
