Metropolitan Filaret II (born Pyotr Ivanovich Semovskikh on January 25, 1942, in Dairen, Japan) was a Russian and Australian religious leader, founder and first hierarch of the small PRC/RPCZ from 2015 to 2020, which identified as a canonical branch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR). Under his leadership, the PRC/RPCZ claimed to be the legitimate successor of the entire Russian Orthodox Church, overseeing dioceses including Australian and New Zealand, European, Northern Russian, Southern Russian, Kamensk-Uralsky, and Siberian.
