Alexander Milov (Mел), born April 1, 1979, in Odessa, is a Ukrainian artist, sculptor, director, and futurologist. He gained fame after receiving a grant from the annual Burning Man art festival in 2015 for his sculpture 'Love'. He creatively reinterpreted the Lenin monument in Odessa into a sculpture of Darth Vader. Notable works include the monumental robot sculpture 'TIS' in 2011 and the 33-meter sculpture 'Gates to Paradise', depicting an archangel with a cellphone, installed in 2017.
