Yurik Haykazian Muradyan, born on March 15, 1949, in Leninakan, Armenian SSR, is an Armenian geographer and economic geographer. He earned a PhD in Geography in 1985, became an Associate Professor in 1993, and was promoted to Professor in 2012. He is known for his textbooks in school and higher education geography. Muradyan was a member of the USSR Geographical Society (1980-1991) and the Armenian Geographical Society since 1992, eventually serving as its vice president in 2005.
